About Ashland PA
Ashland Pennsylvania can seem simple on the surface but as you spend time in this little town you will find more and more that you can enjoy. Many families look for more things to do and places to visit after going to Centralia.
While Centralia is a major tourist spot, there isn't exactly a lot to see. That is where Ashland comes in. Here you can take a historic coal mine tour at the Pioneer Tunnel coal mine & steam train tour. If you like history there is also Whistler's Mother statue.
Ashland also has a variety of trails and hikes nearby and one, in particular, that has Big Mine Run Geyser you can see and enjoy.
After your walk enjoy local cuisine at Ashland restaurants or get some local chocolate. You definitely do not want to just pass through Ashland PA. See its history and enjoy everything there is to do in Ashland.

Where Is Ashland PA Located?
Ashland is located on the northwestern edge of Schuylkill County. About 15 miles from Pottsville PA the town of Ashland is one of the smaller towns on the outskirts of Schuylkill County. Ashland is just south of Centralia which is located in Columbia county. Lavell, Gordon & Girardville are all neighboring communities.
Ashland is located where route 61 and route 54 meet. Route 61 cuts Schuylkill County in half from Port Clinton to Ashland.
