August 20th, 2022, was a hot Saturday, but that didn’t keep people away from the second annual Island Park Festival! Schuylkill Haven Island team put together a fantastic event that we can expect to continue to grow just as the Island has grown. The Island Park Festival had rides and activities for all ages and excellent live music and performances throughout the day.

Wagstaff & Company: A professional ventriloquist you do not want to miss! Many people have heard of Jeff Dunham, but he doesn’t hold a candle to locals Scott and LeDonne Wagstaff of Wagstaff & Company. Their ventriloquist act is family-friendly and excellent for your entertainment.
Johnny Peers & The Muttville Comix: Get ready to laugh with the slapstick comedy of Johnny Peers & The Muttville Comix! These furry friends put on a great act to entertain you and your kids.
The Magic & Illusion of Tom Yurasits: Enjoy a professional magician, escape artist, and mentalist when you see Tom Yurasits’s show. He wowed the crowd with his magic tricks!
Bands/Musicians
Hooligan: A Schuylkill County local favorite band playing various classic rock hits up to the early 2000s. We can’t wait to see more of them, Hooligan put on an excellent performance.
Another Side: Another Side is a classic rock cover band playing throughout Schuylkill County. Their band puts on a great performance and does a variety of covers!

This year was a blast, and the festival keeps getting bigger and better. We can’t wait to see what is in store for the Island park festival in 2023! Check back at Schuylkill, PA. Just like the Island Park Festival, we are young and growing. We hope to have our site built up by the time next year’s festival rolls around.
