About Shenandoah PA
Shenandoah Pennsylvania is a city in northern Schuylkill county that has a large amount of coal mining history as well as an interesting first resident who built a farm in the middle of the woods in 1835. Peter Kehley maintained his farm in solitude for about 20 years until coal mining companies moved in and he sold his property.
This property is located within Shenandoah PA. What can now be seen in present-day Shenandoah (or Shendo as many locals call it) is a lot more coal mining and businesses than farmland. The area has a lot of history and this can be seen within the local businesses, restaurants, and the very people you talk to.
The closest thing to the old farmland is the large golf course nearby. As for culture and food, there are many Shenandoah restaurants that have Polish and European roots.
There are multiple places to stay in Shenandoah Pennsylvania. From local Bed and Breakfasts to chain hotels. Plan your stay and see a cornerstone of Schuylkill County PA's coal history.

Where Is Shenandoah PA Located?
Shenandoah is located in northern Schuylkill County. This city is north of Frackville and Mahanoy City.
Just a few minutes north of interstate 81 you can reach Shenandoah by taking route 54 or route 924.
